The MORE-COLAB Team led by Susana Araujo is conducting field monitoring to assess lupin crop development on olive groves, using standardized protocols. Plant density is quantified as the number of plants per square meter (m²) using the square-meter method. In addition, percentage ground cover is estimated for both lupins and associated weed species. Plant height measurements are recorded to track growth dynamics. Regular inspections are also carried out to detect any signs of pest infestations or disease incidence. To date, no issues have been observed. Initial chlorophyll measurements are also being performed using a SPAD meter, showcasing high clorophyll – Very healthy lupins!
