Integrated fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum L.) valorization in Tunisian olive systems: the FORECAST trial

At the University of Sfax (US), the FORECAST Team led by Radhouane Gdoura and Amine Elleuch has implemented an agroforestry-orphan legume (AF-OL) system using fenugreek intercropped in a representative olive orchard at the Agareb pilot site (Sfax), under semi-arid local conditions. The Team is monitoring the combined AF-OL system performance to collect data on olive productivity, leaf macronutrient content, and olive/oil quality across various intercrop configurations. Simultaneously, soil quality and fertility metrics are being gathered as baseline inputs for the FORECAST dataset, to be released within Work Packages 3 and 4.
